Spaghetti and Baseball
If you thought that our Red Sox fans believing in a curse was strange, then you might think that Chicagoians have lost it. Claiming that their curse is still in effect since the foul ball deflected off Cub fan Steve Bartman during Game Six in the National League Championship Series in 2003, Chicago is doing something about it. Harry Caray's Restaurant, named after legendary Chicago broadcaster of the White Sox and then Cubs for years, bought the baseball last year at an auction price of $113,824.16. They then followed advice of one 9 year-old who wrote in saying to blow up the ball into tiny pieces. Now one year later, the Chicago restaurant is attempting to reverse their curse yet again, by adding the grinded up ball into their spaghetti sauce. No joke. By drenching it in Budweiser beer, the grinds will then be added to the sauce and will be served to Cub fans devoted to turning things around for their team. This is only for a limited time (thru tomorrow) or until the sauce runs out. The $11.95 pasta dish, ball grounds included, will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, balllllls.
thank god the Sawx won this year so we don't have to hear about the rack or jillians or someplace dipping their balls in something.
