Wednesday Webcasts: Bostonist Rates DiecastAUDIO

DiecastAUDIO is what podcasting was meant for. Bostonist has never met anyone who has been into collecting diecast cars and we're not entirely sure we knew it was even a hobby. It's these niche markets that can only be reached through a medium easily distributed to the entire world at low cost. Just imagine the number of people who would never be able to learn about this hobby if the internet didn't exist to bring people together.
DiecastAUDIO is a great, in-depth look at news and events going on in the diecast world. The production value is very high and Jeffrey Glasson even throws in some podsafe music to keep things interesting. Many shows do not include show notes, but for several reasons, Bostonist wishes they would: At this point, Google can't index what you say in the podcast, so good show notes help people find your show. Also, podcasts can throw around a lot of links, and show notes are a good way to lists the websites you talk about instead of trying to spell the URL out on the air. DiecastAUDIO has some really stellar show notes and links to pictures of the cars Glasson is talking about. This is invaluable to people just starting to get into the hobby.
If you don't like diecast cars, this show is something you will probably want to avoid. Jeffrey is a Boston local but the show hardly ever touches on that fact and you know how Bostonist feels about that.
