Museum Tour Cycle-style
The next of the Hub on Wheels community bike tour rolls at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 30 from Boston Bicycle on Beacon Street (across from An Tua Nua, next door to Audobon). Andrew Prescott, founder of Urban AdvenTours, leads the Museum Tour by bike. In his secret life we've heard Andrew once upon a time worked beer promotions by night – so he's got a good personality and a knack for letting you know where you might pick up free swag. The Urban AdvenTours lead a good ride, and since they're underwritten by the city for the Hub on Wheels events they're free. The museum tour this Sunday may be a little early for a ride the way we roll – but it'll be a great chance to get out before the heat of the day sets in. If you've been meaning to stake out the museums in Boston on your 'tourist for a day' plan this promises to be a good opportunity. It's amazing how close everything in the city is when you're on a bike. Hopefully less of a focus will be placed on the Cow Parade (we've become increasingly bored with the installation) and more on things like the recently lauded MIT public art collection.
