Wednesday Webcast Review: Love and Radio
We just love listening to all the great 'casts out there. Sure, we have to wade through mountains of manure to find the ones worthy of calling our shiny little MP3 player home. Bostonist thinks it might have found one such 'cast: Love and Radio.
Love and Radio is just what you would expect from a show that is available via alt.NPR. It contains the interesting accounts and stories collected by two twenty-somethings spending their post-college years in Boston. The stories, sometimes seemingly mundane, are always amusing and engaging. Sure, these are the stories of people maybe not unlike yourself. But, isn't that part of the appeal? We want to relate, because by relating our experience to others maybe we can make sense of some of this craziness.
The only real issue that Bostonist has with this 'cast is that it is so very NPR. Ok, so now you think we are crazy. But, hear us out. Webcasts, podcasts, or whatever you want to call them are exciting because not only are they a new way to deliver content, but they really are a new medium in and of themselves. This is why sometimes we like our 'casts to be as far removed from everyday radio as possible.
We can't really fault it for sounding like it belongs on top-notch radio. This is why we have queued it up on the 'ol iPod and recommend you do the same.
