The Mooninite Brand Timewasting Association: Hit of the Week

This hit is for real. It's been a long ~~week~~ few days of the Mooninite meme. The settlement is in and Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and even the Commonwealth itself will share the $2 million Turner has agreed to pay. It's unlikely that the poor citizens of Boston, effected by traffic delays and ridicule from the rest of the country will see any of that money in any tangible way.

And now, the hit of the week has been officially released on the internets. The Mooninite Brand Timewasting Association (TMBTA) presents 99 Mooninites (.mp3). The mp3 parody of 99 Luftballoons is only missing a bitching dance video. Perhaps whoever was behind the All Your Base Are Belong to Us or the Save Boston (whack-a-mole style flash game) could get together and produce the video. This may mark the death of the mooninite meme – but no promises.
