The Easiest Way to Get Up in Manny's Grill

mannysellinggrill2.jpgWhat's the perfect way to celebrate the first day of spring? How 'bout some nice hamburgers cooked on your very own new-to-you grill. The first place to look for a mammoth $4,000 grill is of course in Manny's garage – and you'll find it on Ebay. We can't find a model number for this monstrosity, but it's likely to kick something in the range of 40,000+ btu's. The full description given on Ebay:

Hi, I'm Manny Ramirez. I bought this AMAZING grill for about $4,000 and I used it once... But I never have the time to use it because I am always on the road. I would love to sell it and you will get an autographed ball signed by me =] Enjoy it, Manny Ramirez.
The Sox are getting web savvy these days. Schilling is banging out his own blog, now Manny's up on Ebay. It certainly was hard to believe at first that Manny would be selling his grill on Ebay – but then we saw the pictures (one pulled and posted here.) Sure looks to be Manny being Manny, and selling a grill. Opening bid was $3,000 and it's now up around $4,300. Must be the free signed baseball.

i can't help but think that the auction would do better in the grill section of ebay. or maybe manny could have cross listed it. payed for some more bells and whistles on the ad. i'm sure he has the $5, or whatever it is, to spend.

Do the good bidders of the world realize that there are 7 whole days left, or are they just determined to get this into six figures by Thursday afternoon? $50,000 already...I must have missed the part of the description in which Manny says he's going to come to the winner's house for some BBQ fun.

There's nothing particularly new about Curt's work with the Internet. He has been a big booster of massively multiplayer online games for several years, going back into the Everquest days. In fact, he appears as a villain Everquest 2. Strangely enough, Sony donates money to his charity every time he's killed.

Hey, we did a write up about this too! So what, not only is he an athlete but he's a capitalist. I see no problem in leveraging his stardom on the free market. For some, you can never really have too much cash.

We did a write up on this on our blog, check it out here.

Looks like they pulled it after $100 mil.
Stupid ebay.
