Thanks to a discussion board thread based on a Facebook entry, we caught wind of a secret small cache of Pennsylvania lager that's not available past New York. Eager for liquid nostalgia, Bostonist headed to Dante inside Cambridge's Royal Sonesta Hotel. It's easy to feel out-classed if one doesn't usually hang out at fancy hotel restaurants, but the friendly bar staff made even dive-bar denizens like Bostonist feel......

Your camera-toting Bostonist made a cameo appearance in City Hall Plaza for the Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival last night (with several thousand close friends). The event raised money for Camp Sunshine, which provides support for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. The 2006 event broke the Guinness World Record for most lit jack-o'-lanterns at one time. While it didn't look like the record was in jeopardy when we were there, it was a gorgeous evening nonetheless. ...
Bostonist went to a wedding at the Algonquin Club, and there was one burning question on our mind: What did people think of the guy who called himself "Clark Rockefeller?" Before the nutty German national (allegedly) kidnapped his daughter, he served on the Board of Directors at the Algonquin. Since Bostonist doesn't have time to create a false high-society identity, we're not submitting our membership in the near future.
